Introduction

Since its inception 1909 by an Immigrant from Germany by the name of Otto Kolschowsky as a small butchery in the neighborhood, the company went through various transformations to becoming a global leader in the meat and its products. Today the OSI Group supplies most of the global brands with their products. A few years ago, the company was listed among the most significant private run entities in the country, with a net worth of about 6 billion dollars in 2016.

The secret of OSI Group lies in the leadership, employees and quality services. It is always said that when you treat you treat your employees right; they will treat your customers right as well. And when the customer is satisfied, he/she will come again. This is one of the secrets behind the success of the organization. It is during his leadership that the company has expanded to Europe through the acquisition of Baho Food and China through the ten facilities established in China that deal with poultry products. Therefore, his other experience in transport and logistics has aided in taking the taking the products to the customer without a hassle. This is through the logistics experience that Mr. McDonald has after working with local suppliers as well as the different government entities. OSI Group acquires Baho Food.

Furthermore, the position that Mr. Donald holds is in line with his undergraduate course. He has always been passionate about biology and agriculture. Therefore, what he does most of the time revolves around the same. Additionally, he took a vow during his graduation to continue the work that he had studied at the University. Last but not least is the vast knowledge on leadership from his predecessors. In the last thirty years, he has learned so much as a junior employee to the president now.
